Evolution
Life changes and so has the business. From exclusively training and selling horses, we have 'grown up' and matured into a solid stallion business. We still sell horses, but on a much smaller scale. On the other hand our stallions are doing well and are getting much more focus. Plus we have expanded to selling frozen semen from Europe. We hope that we can assist you with matching your mare with the right stallion, or finding your next riding prospect, whether it is here in the US or overseas.
Partnership
Buying a horse or finding a suitable stallion for your mare is a big decision. We, at Boreas Horses, try to streamline this process so you can have the horse of your dreams or a 'match made in heaven' without the hassle. "I understand the process and try to make it easy and comfortable for the client", says Marieke Forrestel-Jonkman, owner of Boreas Horses. We believe that both the rider and the horse are essential components of a good partnership and success in the ring. We therefore strive to find the right horse for the future rider. Partnership is also important in our relationship with our clients. Getting the best of both worlds, Marieke tries to incorporate the Dutch no-nonsense approach into good customer service as found in the US.

Marieke is familiar with the Dutch KWPN horse world and has many warm relations with Dutch horse owners. "I have the luck to be from a family who have ridden, bred and raised horses for generations. Through them I've met some wonderful horsemen and women. And if I don't know them yet, I'm pleased to make their acquaintance", says Marieke.

Boreas Horses selects excellent and promising jumpers and dressage horses, especially fit for young professional and high level amateurs. We offer them for European prices. Finding the right horse for the right price is our challenge!
