VanGogh B now with Jennifer Bauersachs.

Just before Thanksgiving I have dropped off VanGogh with Jennifer Bauersachs of French Town, NJ. Jennifer is currently ranked #2 according to the USHJA for professionals and will be VanGogh's trainer and rider as he will be showing in the hunters. They are heading down to Ocala, Fl after Christmas.

I'm glad Jennifer enjoys riding VanGogh and I hope the two of them will become an incredible successful team!

VanGogh will be back for breeding season around 1 April 2008 give or take a bit, depending on transportation back from Florida.

Cavalier Frozen Semen has arrived.

The tank is full, and we are ready to ship out. Please call Marieke directly @ 716-628-3756 for the latest info. We only have 1 vapor shipper available, so it is important to make sure all is scheduled well. Thank you all for you patience!

Ebay deals.

Yup, I've done it here and there throughout the year, and I must say I think it is quite the find. When you do a search for 'stud fee' you should be able to find something. I think it is a great venue, and a great deal for mare owners! Don't hesitate to ask me when I will be running another auction, I'd be glad to let you know! We all love a deal!

Website is being updated.

After an incredibly busy season I finally am having a bit more time to update the website. Please watch in the near future for more updates!

On 18 July 2006 Emma-Marie Virginia arrived @ 7:14 PM. She weighed a whoopin' 8 lbs and 4 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long. She has nice long legs, looks like a rider!!!! Mother and daughter are doing great and have returned home.

Unfortunately, it will be a while before Marieke will be back in the saddle!

Tantibes in Fl, ready to move up to Prelim!

Over the weekend the owner of Tantibes called to tell how she was doing. Tantibes is comfortably competing at Training and is ready to move up the ranks to Prelim. Pretty darn good and pretty darn fast. Many good wishes to Beth and Tantibes!

Great news!!! VanGogh winner of jumping phase of the 30 testing......

I knew he could do it. Of course he was tired, it was quite the ordeal for a youngster like him. He was the youngest one there, but held his own!

The judges raved over his capabilities over the jumps. They advised me to take it easy with him and prepare him well, he is of international calibre, a horse they could take home with them. Great compliments from the German judges!!!!

More great news!!!!!

Since early November Melmont Sport Horses' DUCHOVNY, or 'the Ducster' for us insiders, has joined the crew of @ Boreas Horses. Duc has settled in wonderfully and is a great joy to work with and is already progressing steadily. He will stay with us to be shown under saddle in the 2006 season and will be prepared for his GOV inspections this summer. We're glad he has joined us and are looking forward to great teamwork!

And now perhaps the greatest news of all......

Rather unexpectedly, but with great joy, we would like to tell you that Marieke is pregnant. They baby is expected in mid-July 2006. Marieke will be riding as long as her body will allow, and will be overseeing the riding when she can not. Advertisements have been placed in magazines for working students and riders. If you are interested, please do give us a call!

Finally back online!

Finding a roof over our head turned out to be more of a challenge then I initially thought. Between house hunting, hiring people, and settling the horses in, I have had little time to update the site. However, light can be seen at the end of the tunnel.

Texas, Canada and Utah are doing really well. We are in the process of assembling a video, and putting short clips online (that is if I can find the cable). All three of them are progressing nicely and turn out to be really good prospects for the junior riders.

Versace is recovering from a hock injury. It turns out not to be that much of a big deal, but he had me in a big scare.

VanGogh is at the R.P.S.I 30 day testing. Hopefully he will do well. He is the only 3 yo at the testing and has to proof himself against much older horses! I have faith in him though!

We have moved to NY and new horses are in!

After some hectic weeks of packing and unpacking (like we're done yet LOL) I can finally say "WE HAVE MOVED". All the horses made it safely and are doing well. Hubby and I are still 'homeless', but I'm sure we'll find a roof over our head shortly@

We are now located just east of Buffalo, NY and you are welcome to come and visit us anytime.

We also had 2 more horses come in. Remarkably they are named 'Canada' and 'Texas', together with 'Utah' I think I'm working hard on my States! This is all a pure coincidence and I had nothing to do with naming them!

9/5/2005

2 new hunters will be arriving this coming weekend.

Hopefully after the weekend I will be able to tell you more about them, but so far I only know they are 5 yo, and well trained for their age. Their price range will be around $25k, depending on the total costs!

VanGogh B and Versace B approved Belgian Warmblood (BWP).

The final inspection of the season, but they did it! The judges were very impressed especially with Versace. Many thanks to Norma Inqui for hosting. She made sure it was a wonderful and safe environment.

The fact that no fence can keep Versace in is a whole other issue all together :). He came through the corner just a little at the wrong angle and had to choose between a 1 ft cross rail or the 5 ft fence. Yup, tough choice. He went over the 5 ft fence and just enjoyed himself quite a bit in the big open space of a 20-25 acre pasture. Fortunately he is easy to catch so it was no biggie, but all in the end it was a big adventure!

After this little adventure the judges were a little more conservative with free-jumping VanGogh, but he did equally as well!

Utah B arrived safely in State College, PA

Utah was released and picked up from quarantine on Wednesday. He is very very sweet indeed! He self loaded and unloaded. Generally speaking he is just very easy-going! He is indeed cute as a button! And a lot of fun to work with.

8/16/2005

Utah B landed in NY last night

Anne and Danielle from Triton International reported that Utah landed safely @ JFK last night. He likes to get kisses and attention! He didn't have a particular high opinion of the flight it self, but made it just fine. Nothing a little bit of loving couldn't fix ;)

Will see him soon!

VanGogh B and Versace B approved R.P.S.I!

After a lovely but hot day @ Silverwood Farm in VA both the boys were approved with R.P.S.I. They will be heading for the testing in CT this fall to have the final requirements achieved.

VanGogh presented himself much better then at the ISR inspection. I also realized that he is a little nervous. He won't do anything bad, but he just isn't quite himself. At home he gives much more. But he still needs to grow into the experience. He just sucks back a little too much. Versace on the other hand lives for the experience. He is such a show off! O my. For him it is like, look at me, I'm here and enjoying it.

It was very nice to meet the people from R.P.S.I. They had been nice in our phone conversations earlier in the year, but proofed to be even nicer in reality. Otto the German Judge was a truely, genuine happy person. Both he and Ronald were extremely and genuinely interested in the success of American breeding. It was a joy to work with them!

Versace B qualified for a 'star' with ISR/OldNA

ISR/OldNA distinguishes between the quality of stallions by awarding them 'stars' for different aspects. Versace received his first (*/-/-/-/-) for his score of 224.5 (must be higher then 220) at his initial inspection. Quite a rarity for a 3 yo to achieve such a high score AND a star!

Utah B is coming to the US!

I'm proud to announce that Utah B (how fitting is that name?) will be coming to the US within the next 2 weeks. Utah B is a dark bay, approximately 16h2/3 4 yo by Elmshorn. He has been under saddle for about 3 months and happily goes around a 3' course. We're excited to meet him shortly!

Urado B sold!

A BIG congratulations to Cynthia and her wonderful daughter Morgan with purchase of Urado B! This pair will be something we need to watch in the future. Morgan is a beautiful rider with loads of talent. I have confidence that this pair can go a long way.

Urado will leave for the big state of Texas shortly.

Versace B licensed ISR/OldNA

We are very proud to announce that Versace B has been licensed with ISR/OldNA! It was a wonderful and at the same time nervewrecking experience! And I'm extremely gratefull to have a wonderful working student, who despite her age managed to keep her head cool, and the boys looking great.

Versace showed his innerpoise and grace in hand for the judges and in the free movement and free jumping part showed off like the powerhouse he is (yes, I admit I'm slightly biased). Smooth, yet active and quick, he sailed through the freejumping chute. He is such an exciting young boy and so wonderful to work with.

Unfortunately, VanGogh was not at the top of his game. I still deeply believe in this stallion. I think he will be great as a sporthorse, but also as the sire of high quality offspring. At the same time I feel, that just like his grandfather, he is maturing slowly and was not quite ready for this endeavor. Rigoletto is known to produce offspring that 'take their time', but when given the time, will concur the world like no tomorrow! Rigoletto too was initially crushed in reputation as a breeding stallion, yet later became one of the most wanted sires. In his 20s he was still serving over 300 mares a year and was one of the first stallions with whom AI was done in the Netherlands.

Many thanks go out to Sheila and Suellen. They trailered the boys in a wonderfull 'air' trailer so they arrived fit and cool! And above that their endless support in many many ways.

I also want to say that the group at Hilltop was fabulous! And I enjoyed meeting all the other stallionowners/handlers and support crew. The really nice thing was that everybody there was only interested in helping all of us succeed. Everybody wished the other success. The stallions that passed absolutely deserved it, all of them, but please don't write off the ones that didn't quite make it. Some of them do deserve you attention in the future, and I'm not just talking about mine :D

And anybody who took pictures, please email them to me! I totally forgot about taking any! I can't wait to put any online!

Urado places in ribbons at his first show

Urado is doing really well and is progressing nicely. He settled right in and almost immediately went to his first show. Perhaps a littel pre-maturely in hindsight, but he did place both in his o/f and hack classes.

This show his incredible talent and potential in the hunter ring. He has super form o/f, and with time will absolutely be absolutely amazing! He competed in the hopefull's and his changes were 'rough' at best, and it really surprised me that he placed, though the rest of his round he made more then up for those rough changes.

In the hack class I saw the judges on both days keeping a close eye out for him. He still needs to be more polished, but they kept turning their heads to him, again and again. He is going to be awesome!

6/14/2005

Urado arrived in State College, PA

I went and picked up Urado from quarantine yesterday, and he is AMAZING! He is absolutely stunning to look at! He moves like an absolute dream. And he has such a wonderful disposition, he is simply amazing.

At the USDA quarantine station I met a hunter trainer who told me there aren't many Corrado's in this country, but the ones that are, always finish at the top. After seeing him move and free jump I know exactly why. Wait for the videos!

6/11/2005

Urado B has arrived!

Urado had a rather uneventful flight yesterday and arrived safely at the USDA Quarantine station in Newburgh, NY. I keep hearing nice things about him and am quite excited to go and pick him up Monday.

6/1/2005

Urado B past the vetting in Holland with flying colors!

We now only have to wait for the blood results for import, but that rarely is a problem. Urado is scheduled to fly to the US on the 10th of June and should be released from quarantine the following Monday! I'm very excited to have the opportunity to have such a lovely horse for sale!

Urado is 16h2-3. I will stick him for exact measurement when he arrives.

5/27/2005

Urado B is coming to the US

I'm excited to announce that Urado is coming to the US! He is a 4 yo grey gelding by Corrado out of a Calypso mare (nice combi!). He is currently being vetted in the Netherlands and will hopefully fly in the 2nd week of June. Urado is a super mover with a wonderful disposition and talented to boot. I was told he is extremely fancy and a big head turner! Can't wait to see him in person!

Check back soon and often for updates on his arrival and progress. He will get his own webpage ASAP with pictures and videos as I have them available!

Tantibes is sold!

I'm happy to tell you that Tantibes is sold. The new owner and her appear to be an absolute match and I'm thrilled she will be going to such a good home! I wish them lots of luck and enjoyment for the future!

5/15/2005

Happy B-day Versace and VanGogh!

Yesterday Versace turned officially 3 yo and today is VanGogh's third birthday. I gave them both an apple, but they were rather unimpressed. Guess it didn't mean as much to them. Grass was more important, the apple appreciated ;)

Client page added

I have added a client page, where customers who either have a horse in training with me, or who are clients in other ways, can post a picture and a description of their horse for sale. Other then providing a medium we are not involved and interested parties should contact the sellers directly.

Erik Herbermann Clinic

Please note that from 17-22 May we're going to participate in the Erik Herbermann clinic @ Equilibrium Equestrian Center in MD. I will be unable to check my mail, but as always I can be reached by phone!

New pictures added of VanGogh and Versace

This morning I added new pictures on their respective pages. As I sort through the other pictures and short videos I have of them I will continue adding them to the site! Hope you check back often!

Video added of Tantibes' first Hunter Show!

Tantibes went to her first Hunter Show mid-April and did really well. She placed third in both her Special Hunter o/f classes and fifth in her Hack class. She was ridden by catch riders, and a big thanks goes out to them and their wonderful job! Getting on an unknown horse minutes before entering the ring and placing! Must be a good horse, uh? ;)

3/13/2005

New online videos of Tantibes, videos have been mailed!

As of now there are more videos of Tantibes on her page. The canter under saddle was added today. Unfortunately that part was missing on the video, but it can now be viewed online. Thank you for understanding!

The videos have also been mailed, they should arrive shortly in your mailbox!

3/6/2005

Hit by the flu, delay in getting the videos out!

I would like to apologize to all of you who have requested a video either of Tantibes B or Vinny. The Martian Death Flu has hit the barn, and we have functioned in 'survival mode'.

We're back in the up swing, and the videos should be finished within the next week and out the door!

Again we apologize for the delay, and thank you for understanding!

Tantibes arrived in State College, PA

Tantibes was picked up from Cornell on Tuesday 8th of February. She walked right on the trailer and travelled really well. She settled right in her new stall and was pleased that other horses speak Dutch as well at the barn ;)

Her disposition to work around is marvelous. She is the biggest sweetheart. I expected some excitement after not being worked for a while, yet I could get right on and ride her. Of course she is somewhat out of shape, so has been started again slowly.

Since her arrival she has had her teeth done, got new shoes and is clipped. All within one week, and she has dealt with it as a pro.

Vinny has arrived for training

Vinny is an exciting 4 yo gelding by V.I.P. out of a Zeus mother. He is most definitely bred to jump, and a brief free jumping session this past Monday confirmed the suspicion. He has great bascule and seems to really enjoy himself while doing it.

Vinny is only in for 90 days of dressage training, but is for sale. A video of him will be made over the next few days and if interested please give us a call and we'd be happy to sent it to you.

Website updates

I'm still in the process of learning how to update my site. Learning Java seems to be the hardest, but I'm in the process of mastering it. Shortly individual pages with pictures and short videos will be available for Tantibes, Vinny, Versace B, VanGogh B and Jade B. Please check back shortly!

1/28/2005

Tantibes settled right in.

The wonderful staff at Cornell gave me a call yesterday that Tantibes has settled right in. She doesn't seem too bothered by the cold snap that is coming over the area. Of course she has settled right into charming the staff as well. A big warm thank you!

Short trip to the Netherlands.

From Febr 1-6 I will be in the Netherlands at the Stallion Inspections in Den Bosch. I will visit several trainers and breeders in the area. If you would like me to keep an eye out for you, please give me a call before I leave. 716-628-3756.

1/25/2005

Tantibes arrived safely @ Cornell University.

Tantibes left the USDA quarantine station in Newburgh, NY today and arrived safely @ Cornell University.

1/24/2005

Tantibes has arrived in the US!

On Friday Tantibes was supposed to fly, but extreme delays due to a combination of the bad weather and technical problems, were the reason she didn't actually fly until Saturday morning. She arrived safely, and despite the cold weather she is doing really well.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 1/25) she will be transported to Cornell University where she will stay for the CEM-quarantine. She will hopefully be released in the second week of February.

Please check back soon for more updates on this sweet girl! If you are interested in her please give us a call @ 716-628-3756.

Dear friends,

After while it is then finally going to happen. I am going to update my site over the coming weeks. I am so excited, but this is going to be a process of learning as I go along, so please be patient!
